Week 4

Overall Week 3 wasn’t a bad one! But again, who would have thought that San Diego would and New Orleans, would both lose again after being two of the best NFL teams last year.

In Week 3 The Gridiron Genie went 7-9 against the spread and a stellar 11-5 straight up. Against the spread, the Genie usually tends to be about 50% but usually throws in a few gem weeks with nice enough scores to win a week or two of your pool. In Best Bets, the Genie is off to a pretty solid start going 5-2 last week and is now 11-8 on the season. Two main highlights from last week were the Genie’s picks of Green Bay and Tennessee to cover the spread and both went on to do so against the aforementioned San Diego and New Orleans. Pretty gutsy picking there!

In Week 4 the biggest games look to be Cincinnati at home against New England (the Genie likes Cincy) and the NY Giants at home to Philadelphia (the Genie likes Philly). This week should start to sort out which teams are for real and which are pretenders as up until now, it’s hard to tell how good some of the winning teams really are. (i.e. Green Bay, Houston, etc.)

In this week’s Team Rankings the top three teams are Indianapolis, Philadelphia (after running up 56 points) and Tennessee, with New England a close 4th.

Check back here every week after noon on Friday for special insights into The Gridiron Genie Team Rankings as well as commentary on some of the trends we’re seeing.
Thanks for trying the Gridiron Genie and Good Luck this weekend!
